Teaching is an enjoyable profession in that it allows me to extend my curious nature.  Besides teaching, I am a life-long learner with many hobbies that fulfill my life:  knitting, crocheting, spinning yarn, rug hooking, quilting, mixed media, reading, cooking, kayaking, biking, cross-country skiing, gym workouts, along with hiking.  At this point I have hiked 20 of the 26 New York State Firetowers, all after my knee replacement :). With much enthusiasm I am looking forward to finishing the final six.  "Indy and Beau," our two border collies, also keep my husband and I very active.  "Indy" did the NYS firetowers with me and Cascade Mountain (why not start the 46 too?).
